Connecticut offices of Ernst & Young LLP announces new leadership promotions

STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernst & Young LLP recently announced promotions of five professionals in its Stamford and Hartford offices. "These professionals demonstrate our ongoing commitment to developing outstanding leaders," said Connecticut Office Managing Partner Bud McDonald. Violet Buzas was promoted to executive director of the firm. Violet is a member of the firm's Business Tax Services practice, focusing on tax compliance and reporting.

Steve Kane was promoted to partner of the firm.  Steve is a member of the firm's Assurance practice, focusing on banking and capital markets.

Chris Karabin was promoted to director of the firm. Chris is a member of the firm's Core Business Services, focusing on the life sciences sector.

Katherine Longmuir was promoted to executive director of the firm. Katherine is a member of the firm's Assurance practice, focusing on the Connecticut market.

Catherine von Seggern was promoted to executive director of the firm. Catherine is a member of the firm's Advisory practice, focusing on risk within the construction and real estate sectors.
