Simotion Selects Concurrent's iHawk(TM) Powered by RedHawk(TM) Linux(R) to Support Driving Simulation for Major Bavarian Automotive
    Company

Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR), a leading provider of integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced that Simotion, has chosen Concurrent's high performance iHawk(TM) multiprocessor system running on its real-time RedHawk(TM) Linux(R) operating system to support driving simulation for a major Bavarian automotive company.
Germany-based Simotion plans to use Concurrent's iHawk system for critical driving simulation applications, ensuring automotive response and reliability. A system engineering services company, Simotion has been delivering hardware and software engineering in the automotive and radio network domain for almost 20 years. Simotion said it chose Concurrent, in part, because of the company's history of real-time performance and the compatibility of RedHawk Linux with open standards.
"Concurrent's successful history of high performance computing is well-known throughout the simulation industry, and their longevity speaks to the company's continued commitment to providing time-critical computing solutions of the highest standards," said Franz Markus Reich, Founder and Managing Director of Simotion. "Our company has been providing system engineering services for nearly two decades, and Concurrent clearly demonstrated its ability to meet our stringent requirements, with an open standards solution. In the future, we look forward to also using the iHawk in the vehicle dynamics and vibration control domain."
"Concurrent has a strong history of providing exceptional simulation solutions throughout the automotive and aerospace industries and is excited to be partnering with Simotion as their simulation host to a well-known automotive manufacturer," said Warren Neuburger, Concurrent Chief Operating Officer. "With its various driver assistance systems and other hardware-in-the-loop applications, Simotion is a trusted engineering services company, and we look forward to further building on this relationship."
Simotion has also recently joined Concurrent's Channel Partner Program. By becoming a Concurrent Channel Partner, Simotion will be able to offer its customers highly deterministic, real-time computing solutions based on Concurrent's global technological expertise and history of nearly 40 years of proven, mission-critical computing across a variety of industries.
The iHawk is Concurrent's high-performance, PCI-based, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) computer platform for time-critical data acquisition, simulation, financial and industrial systems applications. At the heart of each iHawk system is Concurrent's RedHawk Linux real-time operating system. Compatible with the popular Red Hat(R) Linux distribution, RedHawk Linux features high I/O throughput, fast response to external events, and optimized interprocess communication. iHawk is used by leading companies worldwide for real-time data acquisition and simulation in the aerospace, automotive and defense industries.
Concurrent will be showcasing its iHawk platform and its applications at the international ITEC conference, held April 26-28 in Amsterdam, booth #38B.
