Concurrent Celebrates 40 Years of Real-Time Technology Achievement
Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR) today announced it is celebrating 40 years as a leading provider of high-performance, real-time technology solutions for commercial and government markets. For four decades Concurrent’s best-of-breed products have enabled a range of time-critical solutions that have helped both Fortune 500 and smaller companies grow their businesses in line with evolving technology. Concurrent began in 1966 as a computer hardware and software manufacturer (then Interdata and Datacraft). In 1996, the company acquired Harris Computer Systems Corporation. Concurrent’s technology evolved over time to leverage industry advancements including commercial off-the-shelf technologies, while innovating with real-time computing features to cater to the most demanding of time-critical applications. Concurrent has consistently focused on delivering maximized value to its customers by enhancing software technology with real-time computing features and integrating software and hardware technologies for the delivery of packaged solutions: video-on-demand (VOD), advanced image generation, and customized integrated solutions. Benya, Senior Vice President VOD and iTV, Time Warner Cable. "Today, Concurrent’s cutting edge technology and expertise in launching new applications is enabling us to offer our customers more innovative and exciting programs, like Start Over.
