Compassion International Enhances Strategic Talent Management with Ultimate’s UltiPro®

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, today announced that Compassion International, a Christian child advocacy ministry that assists 1 million children in 25 countries, has achieved greater efficiency and strategic improvements in its talent management processes with UltiPro.

With 750 U.S.-based employees, plus 1,500 more employees worldwide, Compassion International has grown rapidly. Before discovering UltiPro, the organization’s different locations used a combination of manual processes and in-house solutions for payroll and HR management. These different systems meant that talent management functions, including areas such as recruiting and hiring, were inefficient and time-consuming. The global non-profit organization needed to implement streamlined processes to keep up with its brisk pace of recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new employees.

Since going live in July 2006 with UltiPro’s unified human capital management (HCM) solution—including UltiPro’s strategic talent management tools—Compassion International was able to expedite the recruiting and hiring process, provide management better visibility into the status of open positions, and improve communication to potential new employees.

Without an integrated HCM solution that included talent management functionality, Compassion’s various U.S. regional and international offices tracked and approved their own recruiting tasks through telephone calls, faxes, spreadsheets, and emails. Manual sorting and reviewing of candidate applications was tedious, and it was difficult to rapidly distribute recruiting information because many employees work remotely.
