Comcast Corp. Bottom Line Drops 23% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Comcast Corp. (CMCSK) revealed earnings for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit dropped to $2.00 billion, or $0.80 per share. This was down from $2.59 billion, or $0.99 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.80 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.2% to $18.67 billion. This was up from $16.79 billion last year.
