ChipMOS Q2 Profit Grows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Taiwan-based semi conductor company ChipMOS Technologies (Bermuda) LTD. (IMOS) posted higher second-quarter net income of $12.0 million, or $0.40 per share, compared with last year's $9.7 million, or $0.35 per share. Net revenue for the second quarter of 2013 was $164.9 million, up 2.3% from $161.2 million for the same period in 2012.

The company said the unaudited consolidated results of ChipMOS for the quarter included the financial results of ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC., ChipMOS U.S.A., Inc., ThaiLin Semiconductor Corp. and MODERN MIND TECHNOLOGY LIMITED and its unit ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Shanghai) LTD.

Looking ahead to the third quarter of 2013, the firm expects revenue to increase by around 2% - 6%, as compared with the sequential quarter.
