China Lodging Group Posts Q1 Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - China Lodging Group, Limited (HTHT) Tuesday reported first-quarter loss of 13.3 million Chinese yuan, or $2.1 million, compared to a profit of 0.1 million, or $0.01 million, in the same period last year.

On a per-share basis, loss was 0.05 yuan, or $0.01. On a per-ADS basis loss was 0.22 yuan, or $0.03.

Adjusted loss for the quarter was 6.4 million yuan, or $1.0 million. On a per-share basis, loss was 0.03 yuan, while on a per-ADS basis, loss was 0.10 yuan, or $0.02. Revenues increased to 1.10 billion yuan, or $176.6 million, from 919 million yuan last year. Analysts expected revenues of 1.05 billion yuan.

RevPAR, defined as revenue per available room for all hotels in operation, totaled 146 yuan, compared to 149 yuan last year.

Looking ahead to the second quarter, the company currently projects revenues in the range of 1.21 billion yuan to 1.24 billion yuan. Analysts currently expect second-quarter revenues of 1.28 billion yuan.
