Ceragon Networks Loss Widens, Yet Tops Estimates; Stock Up 8%

(RTTNews) - Ceragon Networks Ltd. (CRNT) Monday reported second-quarter net loss of $7.5 million or $0.20 per share, compared to a net loss of $3 million or $0.08 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted loss for the quarter was 5.7 million or $0.15 per share.

Revenues for the quarter were $90 million, compared with $113 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.17 per share on revenues of $86.24 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead, the company sees signs of improvement in the business environment and that it is pleased with its expanding penetration of large carriers, mainly in Latin America and Africa.
