Central Garden & Pet Company Q4 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Central Garden & Pet Company (CENT) reported net loss for the fourth quarter of $4.1 million, or $0.08 per share, compared with net loss of $22.6 million or $0.47 per share in the year ago quarter.

Non-GAAP net loss for the quarter was $5.9 million or $0.12 per share compared with $10.7 million or $0.22 per share loss in the prior year period.

Fourth quarter net sales rose to $374.2 million from $368.8 million in the comparable period.

Analysts expected the company to report net loss of $0.25 per share on revenues of $361.1 million for the period. Analysts' estimates typically exclude non-recurring items.
