CenterPoint Energy Inc Q2 Profit Rises 2%

(RTTNews) - CenterPoint Energy Inc (CNP) released earnings for its second quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $146 million, or $0.34 per share. This was higher than $143 million, or $0.33 per share, in last year's second quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.9% to $1.63 billion. This was down from $1.81 billion last year.
