Canadian Delegation to Accompany Governor General on State Visits to West Africa

OTTAWA, Oct. 22, 2018 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will undertake State visits to West AfricafromOctober 23 to 30, 2018. She will visit Burkina Faso fromOctober 23 to 26; the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire fromOctober26 to 28; and the Federal Republic of Nigeria fromOctober 28 to30. Her Excellency will return to Canada on October 31.

Parliamentarians and Canadian leaders from the fields of education, research, innovation,
development, trade and arts will enhance relations with their African counterparts. These exchanges will strengthen Canada's relationship with Burkina Faso, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
