Cambria Suites and Precor Fitness Work It Out
Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH) would like to announce a new
agreement naming Precor Inc., a global fitness equipment leader, as the
exclusive provider of fitness center equipment for the Cambria Suites
brand.
The new agreement will feature premium Precor cardiovascular and weight
equipment as part of the state-of-the-art Refresh fitness club found at
all Cambria Suites hotels. Refresh also offers amenities not found in
standard hotel fitness centers, such as medicine balls, agility fitness
balls and bosu trainers as well as a large screen LCD television with
premium channels. Thanks to the wide variety of available fitness
equipment, guests can easily bring their healthy lifestyle with them
when they travel, achieving a full range of workouts found at upscale
health clubs.
"This is another way that we’re
working to provide our guests with the features and amenities they’re
looking for,” said William Edmundson,
president, Cambria Suites. "Normally
frustrated by not being able to take their usual routine with them on
the road and not being able to work out the way they want, I think
guests will appreciate the spacious and convenient design of our fitness
club.”
The 1,100 square foot exercise area is just one element of Refresh,
which also features a 1,500 square foot indoor pool and whirlpool spa
area. Offering a modern and contemporary atmosphere, Refresh has two
walls of floor-to-ceiling mirrors and floor-to-ceiling glass views into
the pool with vibrant red and sand colored rubber athletic flooring to
energize the space. Included in the fitness club are separate zones for
warm-up, towels and free weights. The overall design and equipment
selection for Refresh was led by a world-record-holding training and
extreme fitness expert who has been hailed as one of the fittest men on
earth.
In selecting Precor, Cambria Suites brought on board a global leader in
health clubs as well as in spa and hotel fitness.

As of December 31, 2007, 65 Cambria Suites hotels were under development
in 26 states nationwide and in Canada. Cambria Suites boasts
a stylish design and guestrooms that are 25 percent larger than standard
hotel rooms. All Cambria Suites hotels offer the latest in technology,
from a large-screen television in the open, airy two-story lobby to two
flat-screen LCD televisions, CD/DVD player, and MP3 jacks in the guest
suites and complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access
throughout the property.
Cambria Suites features Reflect, a casual dining area that features a
full barista coffee bar and serves breakfast and dinner; Refresh,
a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor pool and spa; and
Refill, a 24-7 convenience store that stocks freshly prepared "grab 'n'
go" salads and sandwiches as well as typical convenience store fare and
healthy and organic foods. In addition, all Cambria Suites hotels offer
more than 1,000 square feet of meeting space.
