CAE Q2 Profit Rises, Revenue Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Canadian aviation-training and simulation products provider CAE Inc. (CAE.TO, CAE) Wednesday said second-quarter attributable profit grew to C$42.9 million from C$38.3 million reported in the same period last year.

Earnings per share were C$0.16, compared to C$0.15 last year. On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of C$0.16 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue improved to C$ 529.4 million from last year's C$ 478.2 million. Analysts estimated revenues of C$508.90 million.

CAE will pay a dividend of C$0.07 per share effective December 31, to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 15.

Marc Parent, CAE's President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Performance for the second quarter was in line with our outlook for growth in Civil and Healthcare, and for resiliency in Defence…For CAE overall, we are reiterating our expectations for a stronger performance in the second half and solid growth for the year as a whole."
