Cadence Design Systems Q3 Profit Advances 15%

(RTTNews) - Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) released earnings for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $98 million, or $0.35 per share. This was higher than $85 million, or $0.30 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.34 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.8% to $485.40 million. This was up from $446.22 million last year.
