Cable & Wireless - Liberty Global Scheme Of Arrangement Sanctioned By U.K. Court

(RTTNews) - Cable & Wireless Communications Plc (CWC.L) announced that the Scheme was today sanctioned by the High Court of Justice of England and Wales. On 16 November 2015, the Liberty Global Directors and the CWC Directors announced that they had reached agreement regarding the terms of a recommended acquisition through which Liberty Global will acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of CWC.

There has been no change to the expected timetable for the transaction announced by CWC on 23 March 2016.

It is expected that dealings in CWC Shares will be suspended with effect from 5.00 p.m. (London time) on 13 May 2016, that the Scheme will become effective upon delivery of the Court Order to the Registrar of Companies on 16 May 2016, and that the delisting of CWC Shares will take place by no later than 8.00 a.m. (London time) on 16 May 2016.
