Books-A-Million to Host First Lady Laura Bush in McLean, Va.

Who:
Laura Bush is an Honorary Ambassador for the UN Literary Decade and
hosted the first-ever White House Conference on Global Literacy in
2006 to encourage international cooperation and build free societies
through literacy. In 2001 she joined with the Library of Congress to
launch the first National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. As First
Lady of Texas, Mrs. Bush founded the statewide Texas Book Festival
in 1995 and has taught in Dallas, Houston, and Austin public
schools. In Read All About It!, Mrs. Bush and her daughter Jenna
create a classroom adventure that will leave readers racing to the
shelves!

Customers will have the opportunity to personally meet Mrs. Bush and
get copies of Read All About It! signed.

by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday, April 21st in order to obtain event
credentials.
Line numbers will be distributed beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 21st
at the McLean location.
Mrs. Bush will sign up to three copies of Read All About It! per person.
No personalization. No memorabilia will be signed. Photographs are
permitted, but no posed photos will be allowed during the signing.
Due to heightened security, customers must go through a security
checkpoint before the event. Please leave backpacks, large handbags and
other prohibited items at home or in your car and arrive ahead of time
to allow for the screening. Books-A-Million cannot guarantee that all
customers with line numbers will have the opportunity to meet Mrs. Bush
and have Read All About It! signed.
