BlackRock Q2 Profit Climbs - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Investment manager BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) posted higher second-quarter 2013 GAAP net income attributable to the company of $729 million, or $4.19 a share, versus last year's $554 million, or $3.08 a share. On an adjusted basis, earnings per share totaled $4.15 in the recent quarter. On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $3.82 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Quarterly total revenue was $2.48 billion, up 11% from $2.23 billion in the second quarter 2012, helped by growth in markets, long-dated net new business and higher performance fees. Analysts estimated revenues of $2.49 billion for the quarter.
At June 30, 2013, BlackRock's Assets under Management totaled $3.857 trillion, up by 8% year-over-year.
