Bankers Financial Corporation Appoints Tait Chief Financial Officer

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ --Bankers Financial Corporation (BFC), the St. Petersburg-based insurance, surety and business solutions company, announced today the appointment of James E. Tait as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the BFC Board of Directors.

Tait joins BFC with over four decades of experience in finance, law and insurance. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Alterra Insurance US, the domestic insurance operations of Alterra Capital Holdings Limited. His previous work includes25 years with Coopers & Lybrand, including as managing partner of the Midstates Region office in Chicago and service as an executive officer and board member of several insurance companies and consulting organizations.

A CPA and member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1973, Tait was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 1979. His published works include position statements and auditing/accounting guides. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Birmingham School of Law.
