Baker Hughes Q3 U.S. Onshore Well Count Declines 3% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Baker Hughes Inc.'s (BHI) third-quarter 2013 U.S. onshore Well Count is 9,175 wells, down 3% or down 236 wells, compared with last year. Owing to the improved drilling efficiencies, the average US onshore drilling rig is currently producing 2% more wells, compared to only three months ago.

Compared with the second quarter 2013, the well count grew most significantly in the Permian, Williston and Eagle Ford basins. These increases were offset by reductions in the Fayetteville and Barnett basins, the company said.

The average U.S. onshore Rig Count for the 2013 third quarter remained unchanged from the prior quarter at 1,709 rigs.
