Baker Hughes March Worldwide Rig Count Drops - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Oilfield services provider Baker Hughes, Inc. (BHI) announced that worldwide rig count for March 2015 was 2,557, down 1,040 from the 3,597 counted in March 2014, and also down 429 sequentially from the 2,986 counted in February 2015.

The average U.S. rig count for March was 1,110, down 693 from the 1,803 counted last year, and also down 238 from the 1,348 counted in February 2015. The average Canadian rig count for the month was 196, down 253 from the 449 counted last year, and also down 167 from the 363 counted in February 2015.

International rig count for March was 1,251, down 94 from the 1,345 counted in March 2014, and also down 24 from the 1,275 counted in February 2015. The international offshore rig count for the month was 316, down 18 from the 334 counted last year, and also down 8 from the 324 counted in February 2015.
