BAE Systems To Name Charles Woodburn COO: Reports

(RTTNews) - BAE Systems PLC (BA.L) is poised to name Charles Woodburn as chief operating officer, putting him in line to eventually replace Chief Executive Ian King, according to media reports, citing person familiar with the matter. The pending appointment is expected to be formally made before BAE reports full-year results on Thursday.

The reports stated that Woodburn would work with King for a year or more before the handoff takes place. BAE Systems has been exploring succession options for some time.

Charles Woodburn has been the Chief Executive Officer of Expro Oilfield Services PLC since September 1, 2010 and previously worked at oil services group Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB)
