BAB, Inc.’s My Favorite Muffin and Brewster’s Coffee Brands Win Big in Readers’ Poll

BAB, Inc. (OTCBB: BABB) announced today that its My Favorite Muffin® locations in Corpus Christi, Texas have won the Corpus Christi Caller-Times readers’ poll "Best of the Best” in three categories: Baked Goods, Desserts and Coffee.

Corpus Christi has enjoyed My Favorite Muffin since 1991 when the original Corpus franchisee opened the doors of its first location. Since then the stores have changed ownership and today there are 2 My Favorite Muffin locations in Corpus, one at 3264 S. Alameda and one at 6418 S. Staples. They are owned and operated by Joanna Phe and Sunny Phung.

The My Favorite Muffin retail concept has evolved since the days of the first Corpus Christi store. The current concept, known as My Favorite Muffin Your All Day Bakery Café®, features a contemporary and comfortable interior and a menu offering that crosses over multiple day parts while maintaining its focus on fresh baked products. But the starring role in this BAB concept is filled by its unique cake-like muffins. In front of a huge display case featuring 20 different varieties of six-ounce "Jumbo” muffins, some of which are Fat-Free, and 8 varieties of "Mini’s,” customers stand in awe deciding between options such as Blueberry and Cinnamon Crumb for the traditionalist or more decadent creations like Chocolate Cheesecake and Boston Creme Pie. The muffins are made from proprietary batter formulations from which literally hundreds of varieties can be created.

Beyond muffins, Your All Day Bakery Café offers freshly baked bagels with BAB’s exclusive cream cheese spreads, breakfast sandwiches, a full range of lunch sandwiches, fruit smoothies, and BAB’s own brand of Brewster’s Coffee, roasted in small batches from the finest specialty beans according to carefully monitored specifications. It is this extraordinary Brewster’s coffee that won "Best of the Best” in Corpus Christi, which is a city occupied by many competitive coffee retailers, including the recognized national leader in the segment.

The next My Favorite Muffin Your All Day Bakery Café location is scheduled for opening in January of 2011 at 1750 16^th Street in Denver, Colorado in its downtown district and will represent the twenty-first My Favorite Muffin unit operating among eleven states.
