Axcelis Technologies To Nominate 2 Vertex Nominees To Its Board

(RTTNews) - Axcelis Technologies, Inc. (ACLS) said it has reached an agreement with Vertex Capital Advisors, LLC whereby the company would nominate Vertex' nominees Richard Faubert and John Kurtzweil to its Board of Directors at the company's 2015 Annual Meeting of Stockholders scheduled for May 13.

In addition to Faubert and Kurtzweil, the updated slate of director candidates consists of Thomas St. Dennis, John Fletcher, Arthur George, Jr., Joseph Keithley, Barbara Lundberg, Patrick Nettles and Mary Puma. The Board will continue to be comprised of nine members.

As a result, Vertex has withdrawn its prior director nominations and agreed to certain customary standstill and voting provisions, including voting in favor of all nominees recommended by Axcelis' Board at the Annual Meeting of Stockholders in 2015.
