Autodesk Inc. Reports 73% Drop In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Autodesk Inc. (ADSK) reported earnings for second quarter that fell compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit came in at $11.9 million, or $0.05 per share. This was lower than $44.0 million, or $0.19 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn -$0.13 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.6% to $550.7 million. This was down from $609.5 million last year.
