Atmel Q4 Profit Tops Estimates - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Atmel Corp. (ATML) reported a fourth-quarter net loss to company of $6.46 million or $0.02 per share, compared to profit of $7.21 million or $0.02 per share, prior year. The company said its GAAP net loss for the fourth quarter of 2014 was principally as a result of the impairment of manufacturing assets and a $14.8 million charge incurred for restructuring activities associated with workforce reductions. Adjusted earnings per share was $0.12, for the quarter.
