Atlas Air Worldwide Affirms 2016 Earnings Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - While reporting its first-quarter financial results today, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) provided earnings outlook for the second quarter and also affirmed its earnings outlook for fiscal 2016.

For the second quarter, the company expects earnings per share to be about three times the level of its first-quarter 2016 adjusted earnings per share of $0.31. On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to earn $1.03 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For fiscal 2016, the company continues to expect adjusted earnings per share, before necessary startup expenses and the impact of initial warrants for its new Amazon service, to increase by a low- to mid-single-digit percentage rate compared with 2015 adjusted earnings per share of $5.01. Analysts expect earnings of $5.07 per share for the year.
