Atara Biotherapeutics Prices IPO Of 5 Mln Shares At $11, Below Expected Range

(RTTNews) - Atara Biotherapeutics, Inc. (ATRA), a drug development company with a focus on innovative therapies for patients with debilitating diseases, announced the pricing of initial public offering of 5 million common shares at $11.00 per share, before underwriting discounts and commissions, which is below the expected range of between $14.00 and $16.00 per share. The company expects to close the offering on October 21, 2014.

The Brisbane, California-based company shares are expected to begin trading on The NASDAQ Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "ATRA" on October 16, 2014.

Atara, which was founded in 2012, has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 common shares to cover over-allotments, if any.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering. Jefferies LLC is acting as co-manager.
