Astec Industries Reveals 244% Gain In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Astec Industries (ASTE) reported a profit for its fourth quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $12.39 million, or $0.53 per share. This was up from $3.60 million, or $0.16 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.53 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 51.9% to $326.56 million. This was up from $215.02 million last year.
