Astec Industries Earnings Advance 199% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Astec Industries (ASTE) revealed a profit for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $6.84 million, or $0.30 per share. This was higher than $2.29 million, or $0.10 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.35 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 17.2% to $247.75 million. This was up from $211.35 million last year.
