Anheuser-Busch InBev Q4 Profit Climbs - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Belgian brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev, known as AB InBev (BUD, AHBIF.PK) posted higher fourth-quarter 2013 profit attributable to equity holders of $2.52 billion, versus last year's $1.74 billion, with earnings per share rising year-over-year to $1.54, from $1.09.
On a normalized basis, profit attributable to equity holders of AB InBev totaled $2.37 billion, or $1.46 per share, compared with $1.77 billion, or $1.10 per share, a year before. Quarterly normalized EBITDA came in at $5.2 billion.
For the quarter, revenues grew 4.6% to $11.71 billion, with fourth-quarter revenue per hl growth of 8.4% on a constant geographic basis, resulting from favorable brand mix and revenue management best practices, the company noted.
For 2014, the company anticipates an improvement in the trend of U.S. industry volumes compared with 2013, driven by a stronger economy, partly offset by challenging winter weather in the first quarter 2014.
In addition, AB InBev declared a final dividend of 1.45 euros per share, bringing the total dividend for fiscal 2013 to 2.05 euros per share, a 21% increase over fiscal 2012.
