Amira Nature Foods Q1 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Amira Nature Foods Ltd. (ANFI) Monday reported first-quarter profit before tax of $12.0 million or $0.25 per share, up from $9.6 million or $0.21 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted profit after tax for the latest first quarter rose to $9.3 million or $0.26 per share from $7.4 million or $0.21 per share in the prior year period. On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.16 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 25.9 percent to $138.81 million from $110.29 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $131.07 million.

The company reiterates its previously-issued guidance and expects full-year fiscal 2015 Revenue growth in excess of 20%. Analysts currently expect full-year revenues of 21.50%.
