American Equity To Relaunch Public Offering Senior Notes Due 2021

(RTTNews) - American Equity Investment Life Holding Company (AEL) Thursday said it intends to relaunch its public offering of senior unsecured notes due 2021. In addition, the aggregate principal amount of the offering was increased to $400 million from the previously announced $250 million.

The company plans to use the proceeds to pay the cash consideration required to purchase its senior notes due 2029 and due 2015. The company also intends to repay all amounts outstanding under the company's existing revolving credit facility and to pay related fees and expenses.
