American Airlines Group Common Shares To Be Listed On The Nasdaq - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AMR Corporation (AAMRQ.PK), whose principal operating unit are American Airlines, Inc., and US Airways Group, Inc. (LCC), Friday said they have applied to list the common stock of the combined company on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. In line with the closure of the merger and AMR's emergence from Chapter 11, the combined company will be renamed American Airlines Group Inc. and will use the symbol 'AAL'.

Along with that, the common stock of US Airways Group and AMR Corporation will be canceled and shareholders will receive equity interests in American Airlines Group, pursuant to the Merger Agreement and Plan of Reorganization.

Both the companies expects the deal to close in December 2013, subject to approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and certain other conditions.
