Amedisys Q3 Net Profit Flat, Service Revenue Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Amedisys Inc. (AMED), a home health and hospice company, reported Thursday that its third-quarter net income attributable to the company was $8.440 million, compared to last year's $8.439 million. Earnings per share were $0.25, compared to $0.26 a year ago.

On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.33 per share for the quarter. Such estimates typically exclude special items.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization attributable to continuing operations or EBITDA was $26.4 million, compared to $23.8 million in 2014.

Net service revenue of $326.4 million increased from $300.3 million in 2014. Analysts were looking for $312.22 million.
