AB InBev Q3 Profit Rises; Revenue Up 3.6% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Anheuser-Busch InBev (AHBIF.PK, BUD) reported third-quarter profit attributable to equity holders of $2.05 billion compared to $557 million, prior year. Earnings per share was $1.04 compared to $0.34. Normalized profit attributable to equity holders was $2.58 billion compared to $1.36 billion, prior year, driven by the organic increase in EBITDA and lower net finance costs, partly offset by higher income tax expenses. Normalized EPS increased to $1.31 from $0.83, primarily due to higher profits.

Third-quarter revenue grew by 3.6% to $14.74 billion, with revenue per hl growth of 5.0%. On a constant geographic basis, revenue per hl grew by 5.4%, driven by revenue management initiatives and continued premiumization. Total volumes declined by 1.2%, with own beer volumes down by 1.5%.

The AB InBev board has approved an interim dividend of 1.60 euros per share for the fiscal year 2017.
