I felt satisfied knowing I enjoyed the experience while I was learning from it."

"Running the essay contest is a favorite part of my job," said Director of Curriculum Development Chrissy Skudera. "I learn so much about our apprentices through their essays. Their stories show me how hard IEC chapters work to propel their apprentices into an exciting industry as successful and competent electricians."

The contest was open to all IEC fourth-year apprentices. Entries were judged on originality, creativity, quality of work, and sincerity.

The grand prize winner will receive a $250 Visa® gift card. Each runner up will receive a $100 Visa® gift card. Each winner's essay will be published in Insights magazine and on http://www.ieci.org.
