Kodak Q4 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Eastman Kodak Co. (KODK) reported a net loss for the fourth quarter of $42 million, compared to a net loss of $63 million for the year-ago quarter.

The latest quarter net loss include $19 million in restructuring charges and residual reorganization costs from the 2012-2013 reorganization, a $16 million charge related to the markdown in the value of assets in Venezuela resulting from currency valuations and exchange restrictions and a $9 million charge related to an intangible asset impairment.

Sales for the fourth quarter fell to $529 million from $609 million a year earlier, mainly due to expected substantial declines in the company's mature businesses, as well as the negative impact of foreign exchange.

Looking forward, Kodak forecasts 2015 revenue of $1.8 billion to $2.0 billion.
