BRAZIL: Economists Raise 2017 GDP Growth Estimate To 0.96%
(RTTNews) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank increased their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 for the third week in a row, to 0.96% from 0.91% seven days ago. For 2018, the median estimate for GDP growth rose for the fifth week in a row, to 2.64% from 2.62% last week.
Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 increased to 52.20%, from 52.15% last week, while for 2018 forecasts fell to 55.65% from 55.70% last week.
Projections for the Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 rose to 2.03% from 2.00%, while for 2018 increased to 3.00% from 2.90% last week.
