WebMD Health Sees Q1 Results To Exceed Prior Targets; Updates FY14 Outlook

(RTTNews) - WebMD Health Corp. (WBMD) said it expects first-quarter results to exceed its earlier guidance. Further, the company has updated its guidance for the full year 2014.

For the first quarter of 2014, WebMD sees revenue to be at the high end of the prior range; and earnings before interest, taxes, non-cash and other items or adjusted EBITDA and net income to be slightly above the high end of the range.

For the full year 2014, WebMD now expects to be in the top half of the prior ranges for revenue, adjusted EBITDA and net profit.

The company said that today's update to its guidance reflects recent improvements in its sales activity compared to its experience in the early weeks of 2014. WebMD's Chief Executive stated: "We are having very positive dialogue with our customers about how WebMD can help address their evolving business needs and we are continuing our investments in new product and service offerings to better serve those needs and realize future growth opportunities."
