Vitesse Named to the SCSI Trade Association Board of Directors

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2005--Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. (NASDAQ:VTSS), a leader in developing and supporting industry technical standards, today announced that David Allen, director, strategic marketing, Storage Products Division, has been elected to SCSI Trade Association (STA) Board of Directors. STA is an organization whose goal is the development and advancement of SAS technology solutions and interoperability standards. Allen becomes the first Vitesse employee elected to the STA board, and will assist the membership in guiding the future of Serial Attach SCSI (SAS) technology and standards.

Since 2004, Allen has been responsible for strategic product planning and business development for the Storage Products Division of Vitesse. He has been a member of and active participant in the ANSI T10 and T11 standards organizations since 1994, and has previously served on the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) board of directors.
