Thoma Cressey Bravo (TCB) Announces Sale of Viecore to Nuance Communications

Thoma Cressey Bravo, a leading private equity investment firm, announced today that its portfolio company Viecore, Inc. has been sold to Nuance Communications, Inc. The signing of the acquisition agreement was announced by the companies in October. "This very successful transaction is the result of the extraordinary commitment and leadership abilities of Tom Chisholm, Viecore’s CEO, and his management team,” said Carl Thoma, a managing partner of Thoma Cressey Bravo. Viecore specializes in the deployment of contact center speech solutions for large enterprises. Viecore was an investment of Thoma Cressey Fund VI, a $450 million fund raised in 1998.
