Operation Sneaks for School is a community partnership with WPTV News Channel 5 and non-profit charity groups, with news anchor Kelly Dunn as the official spokesperson for the program. Stanton Optical is proud to be involved in this community service event which collects donations of new and gently used children's shoes across south-east Florida during the entire month of August.
Cristina Otero, Integrated Account Executive for WPTV-TV mentions that "Our goal is to raise awareness that many local area school children need a simple pair of shoes to go to school. We plan on collecting shoes for the month of August and will be reaching our community online, on air and through social media to get our viewers to donate shoes for children. We would love for Stanton Optical to be a part of this. It's a great opportunity to give back to the community."
Stanton Optical is an advertiser in the TV programming for the event and they are making a corporate sponsorship donation to enable a local charity organization to buy shoes for school children in Palm Beach County. Stanton Optical's south Florida stores are also official drop-off locations for the collection of new and used shoes. Look for the blue In Jacob's Shoes donation bins at any of Stanton's south Florida stores including Boca Raton, Palm Springs, Jupiter and Stuart.
