Service Corp. International Q3 Earnings Advance 22%

(RTTNews) - Service Corp. International (SCI) released a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $63.0 million, or $0.33 per share. This was higher than $51.6 million, or $0.26 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.4% to $731.3 million. This was up from $721.5 million last year.
