Sasol 6-Month Profit Climbs; Cuts Dividend - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - South African integrated energy and chemicals company Sasol Ltd. (SSL) reported Monday that its six-month earnings attributable to shareholders increased 19% to R8,7 billion from R7,3 billion in the prior period. Earnings per share increased 19% from last year to R14,21.

Headline earnings per share decreased 38% to R15,12 and Operating profit was down 8% to R13,7 billion.

Further, the company said an interim gross cash dividend of South African 480,00 cents per ordinary share, compared to last year's 570,00 cents per ordinary share, has been declared for the six months ended December 31, 2016.
