Rockwell Collins Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Rockwell Collins, Inc. (COL) reported third-quarter net income of $178 million or $1.33 per share, compared to $158 million or $1.15 per share, in the comparable quarter last year.

Earnings per share from continuing operations rose 12% to $1.33 per share from $1.19 per share in the prior year period. On average, 17 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.30 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total sales were $1.29 billion, up 2% from $1.26 billion in the comparable quarter last year, while 15 analysts expected revenue of $1.33 billion for the quarter.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2015, the company now expects expects earnings to be in the range of $5.15 to $5.25 per share and revenues between $5.25 billion and $5.30 billion. Analysts now expect earnings of $5.24 per share on revenue of $5.31 billion for the fiscal year 2015.

Earlier, the company expected earnings in the a range of $5.10 to $5.30 per share and revenues between $5.2 billion and $5.3 billion.
