Earlier this year Nickelodeon announced it would partner its Let's Just Play program with the NFL to help combat childhood obesity. Through out the year, NFL players have appeared on Nickelodeon during on-air "Workout Like a Pro" interstitials that aired throughout the network's Let's Just Play Go Healthy Challenge monthly half-hour series. The finale of the show, which will feature a "Workout Like a Pro" segment with Carolina Panthers Steve Smith, will air on September 29 at 6 p.m. ET/PT, once the network resumes programming. In addition, Nickelodeon and the NFL will collaborate in the near future on fitness activations at NFL calendar events and partner on other community based programs and educational curriculums. Nickelodeon's Let's Just Play campaign and Worldwide Day of Play initiative aligns with NFL Play 60: The NFL Movement for an Active Generation, a campaign aimed at getting children active for at least 60 minutes a day.
