Mitsubishi Motors North America Oct. Sales Up 30.5%

(RTTNews) - Mitsubishi Motors North America Inc., a unit of Japan's Mitsubishi Motors Corp., (7211, MMTOF.PK), Monday reported a 30.5 percent increase in sales for October, its eighth consecutive year-over-year sales growth.

Misubishi sold 6,199 units in the October, up from 4,752 sold last year.

The Outlander Sport 5-passenger compact crossover posted sales of 2,468 units for October, up 22.8 percent from last year.

"The Outlander Sport has been leading the way for the brand in 2014 and Outlander has steadily increased compared to last year," said MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. "But our sedans are also doing well with consistently strong Mirage sales and Lancer with a strong showing in October."
