Kenmare Resources Taps Rio Tinto's Ben Baxter As COO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Kenmare Resources Plc (KMR.L), an Irish miner with operations in Mozambique, Wednesday announced the appointment of Ben Baxter as Chief Operations Officer, effective early January.

Baxter succeeds the current COO Jacob Deysel, who will step down from his position at the end of the year to pursue other opportunities.

Baxter joins Kenmare from Mining giant Rio Tinto plc (RTPPF.PK, RIO.L, RIO, RTNTF.PK), where he held the role of General Manager Mining at Richards Bay Minerals, a producer of titanium feedstocks. He joined Rio Tinto in 1996.

Kenmare said it will retain the benefit of Deysel's expertise on a consulting basis. This follows nearly six years at Kenmare Resources, during which time Jacob has helped to drive Kenmare's production growth.
