ITT Educational Services Inc Reports 29% Retreat In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - ITT Educational Services Inc (ESI) reported earnings for fourth quarter that fell compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $10.4 million, or $0.44 per share. This was lower than $14.6 million, or $0.62 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.18 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 16.8% to $202.4 million. This was down from $243.2 million last year.
