Herbalife Appoints Kenneth Simon as Vice President, Worldwide Taxation

    LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 2005--Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) today announced the appointment of Kenneth Simon as vice president, worldwide taxation, responsible for the company's worldwide tax function, including tax planning, tax compliance and tax-related financial reporting.
    Simon is an international tax professional with over 25 years of corporate and international experience and expertise in initiating business partnerships to support tax strategies and developing world-class tax staffs. He comes to Herbalife with over a decade of experience in the direct-selling industry, most recently as vice president, tax, at Avon Products, Inc. where he headed the tax department, playing a major role in initiating tax strategies around the world and increasing Avon's focus on tax planning. Prior to that, Simon served as Avon's director, global taxes and assistant treasurer, where he developed strategies to improve Avon's tax position globally.
    Before joining Avon, Simon was employed at Sterling Winthrop Inc., ultimately as director of corporate taxes, with overall responsibility for the worldwide tax function of the company. He also worked in the tax department of AlliedSignal Corp and in accounting firms Ernst & Young and Coopers & Lybrand.
    Simon is a C.P.A. and holds a L.L.M. from Boston University School of Law, and a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law.
